SAFETY FIRST WHEN IT COMES TO BRAKES

Brakes play a vital role in you and your families safety while on the road. Good brake maintenance requires close attention to details on a regular basis. Maintaining your brake system doesn’t just ensure the functionality and safety of your brakes, it also ensures a longer lifespan for your braking system. Of its various components, the parts that cause friction–brake discs and brake pads–need to be periodically maintained and replaced, as they get worn with use. So stop in for a regular yearly checkup. Use of a low quality brake disc, as well as jeopardizing the safety and efficiency of the braking action, also causes the brake pad to deteriorate. And vice versa. At the same time, failing to replace a worn component will create more wear or may cause the other component to deteriorate. Brake pads and brake discs work together so they must be maintained with this in mind. Brake calipers and other hydraulic components of your system–like pipes, brake cylinders, master cylinder–are not replaced due to wear, but due to accidental breakage.
